World War II Multimedia Database

YAY! Finally got the pins taken out of my badly broken finger, and the cast, the other day after 9 long weeks with them in. Most people only need pins in a broken finger for around 4 weeks but because it was'nt healing too well because of my poor health it ended up taking a lot longer. It has'nt actually fully healed yet, that may still be another 6-8 weeks, but it has healed enough to remove the pins.
Today I shall be mostly wandering around Newcastle with camera in hand enjoying my hands new found freedom and Friday Games will return to this site soon depending on shifting some of the chronic stifffness that happens with being in plaster for so long.
YAY, again!

Nine weeks, blimey!

Are you still all bandaged up?

I hope all is back to normal functioning soon.

I still have some dressings on where the removal of the pins left a few open wounds but they should be gone by the end of the week. I still have to wear the splint for bed for a couple of weeks but it feels great not having lots of metal hanging out of my finger.
