This is why everyone thinks we're so friendly and open - we're really all just high as kites!
And really, technically it's illegal here, but one would only get into legal trouble if they were smuggling or running a grow-op. If you have a gram or two on you, the worst thing that'll happen is the cop taking it away from you. And even then, use in public is generally tolerated.
Didn't know that we were such cokeheads though, albeit you guys are worse!

Last summer we toked up right in front of the Sky Dome before a Blue Jays game, it was awesome.

Only reason I stopped was that it made me eat a disgusting amount of junk food. And that I once got lost on the Dartmouth side of the Halifax Harbour while high and couldn't find the ferry home.
It's pretty much tolerated here too but not in public. You would probably get away with a caution at most if you were caught in public.
I guess that you just learn to be careful! :)
