The Iranian policewomen are pretty awesome! That happily flies in the face of all those stereotypes of repressed Muslim women. I don't think I could grapple a wall or shoot a car's wheel's out wearing an abaya and a hijab.
True they are impressive. For some reason I found it slightly disturbing. :) Maybe it's the stereotypes thing that you mention.
