After I posted a video on friday about the city of Pripyat, built in 1970 for the workers at Chernobyl's nuclear power plant, a reader by the name of Mark left a comment with a link to a photo-essay from his visit there last year.
You get a real feel for the place from his essay and there are lots of haunting photos which is well worth checking out. Chernobyl: 20 years later. Thanks Mark.

Cheers. I will add it to this page when my internets are working again. I'm on my brothers PC at the minute and I have a lot of stuff to do.
Hellingly is a pretty creepy place. Tried visiting sunday, but promtly got kicked out. Would like to know how these guys got in...
You tend to find once these places have been on the net they usually step up the security a little.
You'll just have to find a new old place if you know what I mean. :)
These are amazing pictures. I enjoyed looking at them. Keep it up.
Fascinating, I think I've found a new hobby through this.
Aye it's certainly interesting.
There have been a few posts of stuff like that on my photoblog but I've usually been on my own and it can be dangerous on your own.
I've got a few friends who do this kind of thing regularly so I'm thinking of tagging along with them when time allows.
How about this?
